Hi, I’m Kenshin, CEO at Hacarus, AI startup based in Kyoto, Japan.
Previously I worked on the PlayStation development for Sony Computer Entertainment and was part of a startup derived from the Israeli Military. In the past 15 years, I co-founded several tech startups with two successful exits. The first startup was acquired by a Japanese public company, and the second startup was sold to a US company. I’m also co-founder of Makers Boot Camp, Kyoto based VC specialized in IoT/hardware.
Since 2010, I’m living in Kyoto rediscovering the strengths of intellectual property and technology owned by local universities, the knowledge and experience in life sciences and manufacturing industry, a well-educated talent pool of the students and a unique view in business that does not imitate others. I was born in Shiga in 1976, and hold a Computer Science degree from California State University.
I love all sorts of outdoor activities, mountain hiking and Japanese sake. I’m a startup guy on weekday and techno/EDM producer on weekend. Also avid dog lover.
I can be reached at Contact page or below LinkedIn page.
